“We have just returned to England after our stay in the Sunshine Coast. We took one of your tours of Fraser Island with Casey and we just had to tell you how much we enjoyed the day. We had a lovely lunch and a very informative guide who made the whole day very special. We felt we had learned so much about the rainforest and the island we will never forget this special day.
Thanks Casey and all the people from Fraser Island Adventure Tours.

One thing missing from your website, references! I was very impressed with the tour we took with your company yesterday. Everyone came away with something unique, be it a memory or information or a greater awareness of this amazing area. Keep up the fabulous work. Thank you!

Conditions are very dry on Fraser Island at the moment, and as a result The Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing have issued two public notices to combat the issue.
Firstly, there is a fire prohibition for Fraser Island, Cooloola Recreation Area and Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area. This is in effect from September 25th 2013 until further notice. Check out the full public notice for detailed information.
Secondly, there is a temporary closure of the Fraser Island Great Walk, Cooloola Great Walk and Cooloola Wilderness Trail. These closures are for your own safety due to high fire danger conditions. The closures are in effect from September 25th 2013 until further notice. Click here for full information.
Please respect these notices if you intend on travelling to Fraser Island as they aim to protect you, property and Fraser Island’s wildlife.

The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) has recently announced that they will be conducting planned burns on Fraser Island between 9 August and 31 August 2013, weather permitting, as part of the annual hazard reduction/conservation management program for parks and forests. As a result, smoke may be seen in and around the Bogimbah, Ungowa and Garrys Anchorage areas.
Please note that the burns will not affect Tours to Fraser Island, as we do not enter these areas. We will continue to operate our Fraser Island Day Tours as per usual.
In case you’re interested, the aim of these burns is to reduce the volume of forest fuels and to create a mosaic pattern of burnt and unburnt areas within the Great Sandy National park. This will help reduce the intensity of any subsequent wildfires and provide favourable conditions for natural forest regeneration.
After 25 years, The Queensland Justice Department, Office of Liquor and Gaming has advised us to cease supplying a “complimentary” beer or wine with our barbecue lunch on our Fraser Island Tours. Apparently, it is deemed as selling alcohol without a licence and many Queensland tour operators have been advised to cease the practise. A maximum penalty of $55,000 applies, so needless to say we have stopped!
Unfortunately, we cannot licence a tour bus or a national park but are working on getting an off premises liquor license. We are currently applying for a liquor licence but this will take time so in meantime passengers on our tour can BYO alcohol to Fraser Island. We have an esky with ice in the back of the truck for this purpose. We will continue to supply soft drinks in the ticket price.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions please contact us on (07) 5444 6957 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
